Nativit Khlongmekun is the Gold Prize winner of the 14th Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Piano Competition: 2014 Kabalevsky & Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Open category. After the success at this prestigious competition, Nativit was invited to perform the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb minor with the Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Orchestra  at the Hong Kong City Hall on December 1st, 2014. His triumph debut at the competition as the first Thai pianist who won the Gold Prize Award greatly impressed Chinese audiences and Lui Shih Kun, a legendary and world class Chinese pianist, who won the second prize of the First Tchaikovsky Piano Competition 1958 in Moscow where Van Cliburn was the first prize winner, said "...the young boy from Thailand thrilling his audiences during the competition, giving a stunning performance!...I never expected such a high level of the piano playing from Thailand!...This talented Thai boy gave a stunning performance of the concerto."
A fourth year student majoring in Music Education and Pedagogy of the Bachelor of Music Program at College of Music, Mahidol University, Nativit Khlongmekhun studies piano for 7 years under Leningrad Roof of Russian School of Piano Playing with Dr. Somchai Trakarnrung, a student of Rimsky Korsakov Music Conservatory's piano professors; Irina Kugucheva (student of Olga Karantarova & Moisey Khalfin) and Yefim Stesin (student of Nathan Perelman & Henrich Neuhaus). Nativit has also been awarded the 2nd prize winner for the 2014 Steinway Thailand Piano Concerto Competition. In 2010, Nativit Khlongmekhun won the Gold Prize Winner at the Thailand SETTRADE Music Competition playing Thai traditional instrument, Khong Wong Yai.
